The Selma Cyclepaths

The Selma Cyclepaths was formed over 30 years ago to raise $$ for and awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through participation in the annual BikeMS ride. Raising funds for MS remains our primary goal and to date we have raised $1,977,542 for the cause.

We hope to reach the $2 million mark this year – which will make us the first cycling team to raise that amount in the Carolinas.  Finding a cure for MS is near and dear to our hearts as many of our members either have MS or have close ties to someone living with MS.

The BikeMS New Bern Event is September 9th and 10th.  33 Cyclepaths are signed up for the event and almost $10,000 has been raised so far this year.

Training rides are planned for every Saturday from April 1 through September 1. Three distances are available at each training ride and SAG is provided. The Grocery Bag generously allows us to keep our SAG supplies at their store.  Our starting point each year has been on Flowers  Plantation property ( thanks so much!), but this year we moved the start to Thanksgiving Elementary School due to construction/traffic concerns.

We welcome all cyclists to our rides, even if they can’t participate in BikeMS. The second goal of the club is to promote a healthy lifestyle through cycling and friendships.
