Work continues on the updates to our YMCA. In the past couple of weeks, we’ve received some of our fitness equipment, began painting and framing out some of our child care areas. We’re expecting delivery of the new front desk furnishing this week. We are still on track for Charter Member Sales and opening in early 2021!

A special thanks to Womack Electric Supply for partnering with us again this past year for our “Give a Kid a Bike” program. Thanks to Womack, we were able to donate more than a dozen bikes to kids in the Johnston County community for Christmas. With Johnston County Schools returning to Virtual Learning through at least January 15, remember that the Y offers Scholastic Support Centers for your child’s virtual learning. YMCA Scholastic Support Centers are a place where your K –8 students can go to participate in their online school or Virtual Academy classes. The program is offered Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. The location serving Johnston County is at Mount Moriah Church at 3000 E. Garner Rd in Raleigh. Learn more.
Residents who own golf carts will be required to register their golf carts. You can do this online by clicking the button below or by visiting us at 500 Flowers Parkway “The Visitor Center”. Once registered you will receive a decal that needs to be placed on the back of the golf cart for proof of registration.
